- Oysters from the Hood Canal
- Ayano’s Birthday, Sashimi & Sushi
- Whiskey Sampling for Saint Patty’s
- Babies and a newcomer at the Park
We got back from Washington the first week of March and I spent the following week trying to decide what I could do for Ayano’s birthday. After all, how could I surpass all the amazing fresh oysters we picked up while staying along the Olympia Inlet and Hood Canal?
The solution was some high grade sashimi and sushi! Yeah!
Needless to say, I think it was a hit. 🙂
So which one did I like?
Well… I’m still thinking about it. SO that means we’ll just have to wait and see next year!
We took our usual walks in the park and saw a number of newborn chicks. We even saw a newcomer… a black… goose? duck? I’ll let you decide. He’s pretty friendly and usually comes up to us when we talk to him.
Other than going to the park for our morning runs or walks, we decided to start firing up a few things around the house. Top of the list was to redo the kitchen chairs. The hardest pair was to choose the fabric. But once that was done, tt was a fairly easy project to make your chair look like new again!
Towards the end of the month Ayano experimenting with different Paska recipes (Ukrainian Easter Bread) getting ready next month’s Easter, while I was checking out the tides finding what days we could head on down to the beach to do our early morning runs.
The breads were a success and so were are morning runs!
See you in April!
